Lady of Egypt

Lady of Egypt Main Game Screen

Lady of Egypt Basic Information:

The ancient Egyptians were, in many cases, far ahead of their time. This is a group of people with engineering and mathematical insight which sits far superior to what many of us understand today. The most famous remaining part of their legacy are the pyramids, these massive structures built as tombs for the Egyptian Kings and Queen. Does the Lady of Egypt measure up to the pharaohs of old, or would this lady be better off setting off down the Nile? Read our review to find out…

The Lady of Egypt appears to be based off the concept of a female pharaoh. Although these were less common than their male counterparts, such leadership did occasionally occur within ancient Egyptian culture.

The first of these leaders is thought to be Sobekneferu, who governed Egypt from 1806 to 1802 BC.

Other Features and Bonuses

Lady of Egypt comes with the expanded pay feature. This becomes active whenever the left 3×3 reels become filled entirely with the same symbol. When this occurs they will expand and offer a massively increased payout.

This game also comes with a speed spins multiplier. This feature is active on the 3×3 reels. Any wins here will increase the multiplier from this game, starting from 1x to a maximum of 5x.

Speaking of multipliers, we also have the 10th reel multiplier. This feature makes it possible for the player to gain a massive bonus if the second set of reels gain a complete combination and there is multiplier value to the right of these, in the centre of the 3 reel spots.
Lady of Egypt WildThe wild symbol in this game comes in the form of the above gemmed wild icon. This can appear in all game modes and can substitute for any symbol except the bonus. These appear on reels 2,4,6 and 8 only.

Lady of Egypt Bonus

The bonus scatter symbol in this game appears as the above gold scarab coin. Gaining at least 3 of these in a single spin gives the player access to the free spins bonus game. These do not need to appear on an active payline in order to generate a win. Bonuses in this are reached through the following contributions:

  • 3 symbols give 8 free spins when gathered
  • 4 symbols give 10x the total bet and 12 free spins when gathered
  • 5 symbols give 25x total bet and 16 free spins when gathered
  • 6 or more symbols give 50x total bet and 300 free spins when gathered

Bonus Games

The free spins bonus game from Lady of Egypt is accessed when the player manages to gain at least 3 scatter symbols in a single spin. During this free spins game the player is given wild symbols on 2-4 reels, for an increased payout. The amount of money which is used as a base bet in this game is the game as the money which was wagered when in the round in which the bonus game was activated.

How to Play:

Basic play for Lady of Egypt is as simple as a player selecting a betting amount and clicking spin.

Overall Design and Usability:

When it comes to the design of Lady of Egypt there is a little bit of back and forth. While the game itself appears to use assets directly lifted from the likes of google image search (they aren't, but they have that look), the game appears to place these parts together in such a way which gives a greater impression of quality than it should. The general look here includes many pieces from ancient Egypt, including mainly decorations and jewellery. This extends to the background, which uses a shot of the pyramids at night to contribute to the relaxing dark orange and black of the main game. Unfortunately the reels here are a little bit choppy in their animation, which does little to aid the effect.

In terms of usability, this is a game which is need of some real improvement. The game itself appeared mostly reliable during our testing process, though we did have some weird errors pop up which required some restarts. The buttons themselves all work perfectly when used. The remaining issues relate to the lack of options offered by the game. The big two here are the lack of autoplay and the lack of graphics options. The lack of autoplay is a problem because experienced players often rely on this to cut down on wasted time, yet Lady of Egypt does not offer any form of autoplay. Lack of graphics options is a problem in that it means players on older or less powerful devices might not be able to get in on the action.

Where to find it:

WMS may not be as common as the big boys in the business, but they still do very well. Check out the following links for website reviews which offer games from the WMS framework. From here you can decide which casino works for you, and you can jump right in!

A game which has a strong base, but which falters when all is said and done. The real problems here come down to a small bonus structure, combined with a lack of proper options which can be used to control the game as veteran or intermediate players like – because of this we can only really feel happy in recommending this pokie to newer players, or those interested in the theme. Otherwise you should note that there are a lot better choices out there,
